These pieces explore more than just maps; works become memorials to experiences and places. They are concerned with documenting city horizon lines and aerial perspectives based upon chronological memories of sites and places. Recalling 19th century hair wreaths–once popular sentimental, decorative memorials of and to deceased loved ones–drawing with hair is my attempt to memorialize sites and convey their fragile and fleeting condition, as well as their sentiment.
