Whether neglected over years or taken quickly in a fire, ruined spaces, along with their contents, become collections in this series of work: the delicate remains of architecture, fragments of belongings, and decaying documents. Objects are culled from various sites in Missouri, Georgia, and Florida. The sentimental and the circumstantial are presented and catalogued with collection tags equally, matter-of-factly, as artifacts. Not all of the objects were removed from the house, some were rolled with ink and their surfaces were printed onto paper while on-site.
