In this series, iconic imagery, architectural references, and map-like symbols press viewers to find familiar traces in the landscape and re-evaluate the archaic notion of sublimity. Itinerary maps express movement through a landscape over time and in a set progression according to one’s experience: they are unconcerned with being comprehensive. In these works viewers explore map-making beyond the physical world, and enter into a grander landscape of history, imagination, and myth.
